98point6
Virtual care platform powering asynchronous and real-time telehealth for health systems.
Overview
98point6 Technologies is a Seattle-based healthcare technology company that develops and licenses a cloud-based virtual care platform to health systems, employer benefit programs, and healthcare organizations. Founded in 2015, the company originally operated a direct-to-consumer AI-powered primary care clinic delivered via text message before pivoting to a pure software licensing model.
In March 2023, Transcarent acquired 98point6's healthcare delivery division and affiliated medical group, serving more than 3 million health consumers across 100+ self-insured employers and health systems. 98point6 reincorporated as 98point6 Technologies to focus exclusively on licensing its platform. In January 2024, 98point6 acquired Bright.md's customer base and assets, adding an asynchronous care module and onboarding 16 additional health system clients including Baptist Health and UAB Medicine.
The platform is built by clinicians for clinicians, designed to reduce administrative burden while expanding access to high-quality care. Its AI and machine learning capabilities -- trained on millions of patient encounters since 2015 -- automate up to 80% of patient intake, freeing providers to focus on clinical decision-making across 140+ common conditions.
