Across America Insurance Services is a managing general agent (MGA) launched in September 2015 by Harish and Rajni Kapur, who bring nearly three decades of combined commercial insurance experience in the transportation sector. Prior to founding Across America, the Kapurs built and operated All Solutions Insurance, an independent agency that grew to USD 25 million in annual premium volume with USD 10 million focused on commercial trucking.
The company serves retail insurance brokers and agents across 18+ U.S. states with specialized underwriting, in-house claims support, and risk management advisory services for commercial trucking risks. Across America operates primarily on a non-admitted (E&S) basis, offering flexibility to cancel policies and better control loss ratios. With approximately 85 employees and a book covering roughly 3,000 trucking firms and 30,000 vehicles, the company differentiates itself through highly personalized service, direct underwriter access, and an industry-leading in-house claims operation.
In 2020, the company transitioned from third-party claims administration to a fully in-house claims operation powered by Insurity's MGA platform. The results were transformational: average claim payouts dropped from approximately USD 29,000 to USD 5,700, attorney fees per file fell from USD 5,400 to USD 349, and 30-day closure rates improved from 4% to 51%. This achievement earned Across America the Claims Champion of the Year award at the 2024 Excellence in Insurance conference hosted by Insurity.
