Overview

Adiona is a UK-based insurtech motor carrier founded in December 2020 and launched publicly in September 2021. Headquartered in London and regulated in Gibraltar by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC), Adiona set out to disrupt the traditional motor insurance market by replacing proxy-based underwriting with behavioral, data-driven pricing.

The company built an end-to-end digital-first motor insurance platform that uses smartphone telematics, artificial intelligence, and IoT sensor data to assess driving behavior across eight dimensions -- road types, cornering, phone usage, driving times, braking patterns, speed consistency, annual mileage, and weather conditions. Rather than pricing customers on demographic proxies such as age, income, and occupation alone, Adiona generates a personalized actuarial driving score and offers premiums that reflect how, where, and when a customer actually drives.

Adiona was accepted into PricewaterhouseCoopers UK inaugural InsurStart cohort, a program designed to connect emerging insurance companies with capital, expertise, and market opportunity. The company partnered with Duck Creek Technologies (Nasdaq: DCT) for its core policy administration platform and with Insurance DataLab for market benchmarking analysis. Founder and CEO Paul Harvey, who spent four decades in financial services at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and Octo Telematics, passed away on February 26, 2026. Adiona Technologies Limited remains active per UK Companies House records as of early 2026.
