Allset -- now operating as YouSet -- is a Montreal-based digital insurance brokerage founded in 2017 by Xavier Freeman and Fellipe Monteiro. The company set out to modernize personal lines insurance shopping in Canada by building a fully online comparison and purchase platform that lets consumers find and buy home, condo, tenant, and auto coverage in under four minutes.

YouSet operates as a licensed damage insurance broker under the AMF in Quebec and RIBO in Ontario. Its platform uses proprietary algorithms to compare real-time quotes from more than 10 major Canadian carriers and automatically applies exclusive discounts to surface the best offer for each customer profile. The company reports that users save an average of 29% on their insurance and the platform has served over 250,000 Canadians with a 4.9-star average rating.

In August 2024, YouSet raised a CAD $3.5 million oversubscribed seed round -- its second raise after a CAD $2.1 million pre-seed in 2022 -- backed by a group of insurance industry veterans. The company has since expanded its distribution network to over 50 affiliate partners and is eyeing expansion from Quebec and Ontario into Alberta and British Columbia.
