Overview
AlphaChat was an Estonia-based conversational AI company founded in 2017 that specialized in intelligent customer service automation for enterprise clients. The company built a no-code, end-to-end natural language understanding (NLU) platform that enabled organizations to deploy sophisticated AI chatbots without requiring engineering resources.
The platform handled over 250,000 conversations per month, achieving 65% automatic resolution rates and 70% average answer detection accuracy. It supported 71 languages and could be configured and launched in under three minutes using its drag-and-drop builder.
In December 2021, Zurich Insurance Group announced the acquisition of AlphaChat to strengthen its conversational AI capabilities. Following the acquisition, Zurich established an Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence in Estonia, where the AlphaChat team continued developing AI-powered messaging automation solutions for Zurich customers globally.
