Overview
BriteCo is a US-based insurtech company that has revolutionized the jewelry appraisal and insurance industry through technology. Founded in 2017 by Dustin Lemick, a third-generation retail jeweler, BriteCo makes insuring fine jewelry, luxury watches, and special events faster, easier, and more affordable than traditional options. The company operates as a program administrator for bespoke, admitted jewelry insurance programs and is licensed in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
BriteCo's cloud-based platform uses over 200,000 pricing data points to power its proprietary Appraisal Management System, enabling jewelers to complete appraisals in as little as five minutes and consumers to obtain insurance quotes in under two minutes. Policies are underwritten by Glencar Insurance Company, an AM Best A+ rated carrier, with reinsurance backing from Hannover Re.
The company has built an extensive distribution network of more than 3,500 independent retail jewelers and over 4,500 independent insurance agents across the United States. BriteCo has expanded its appraisal technology to Canada and continues to grow its e-commerce and point-of-sale integrations.
