Coface (Compagnie Francaise d'Assurance pour le Commerce Exterieur) is one of the world's leading trade credit insurance specialists and risk management providers. Founded in 1946 as a French state-backed export guarantee agency, Coface now operates as an independent public company serving approximately 100,000 clients across roughly 200 markets.
The company manages EUR 715 billion in credit exposure and provides an integrated suite of solutions including trade credit insurance, business information services, surety bonds, and debt collection. Arch Capital Group holds a 29.5% stake in Coface, acquired from Natixis in 2020.
