Cookhouse Labs Innovation

Cookhouse Labs Innovation is a global open innovation community founded in 2017 as a collaborative platform for insurers, insurtechs, technology partners, and innovators. Originally established with a focus on insurance innovation, the organization facilitates co-creation, design thinking sprints, and rapid prototyping to help organizations solve complex industry challenges. Over its first six years (2017-2023), Cookhouse Labs engaged more than 1,000 innovators across 45 countries.

Operating under msg global solutions -- an SAP partner with 9,000+ employees across 29 countries -- Cookhouse Labs serves as the innovation arm of the msg Group ecosystem. In January 2023, the platform rebranded from Cookhouse Labs InsurTech to Cookhouse Labs Innovation and expanded its scope beyond insurance to include organizations across all industries, with an emphasis on sustainability.

The organization operates regional hubs including its Toronto headquarters and a European base in Utrecht, Netherlands (established 2021), with planned expansion into Asia and Latin America. Its community platform, Cookhouse Tastemakers, provides a free entry point for industry experts and enthusiasts to collaborate on challenges in financial services and beyond.
