omocom
Embedded insurance for the circular and sharing economy across Europe.
Overview
Omocom (registered as Omocom Försäkring AB) is a Swedish insurtech carrier founded in 2017 and headquartered in Stockholm. The company specializes in embedded insurance solutions designed for the sharing and circular economy -- enabling platform companies to integrate seamless protection directly into their user experiences for vehicle rentals, home sharing, and personal item lending across Europe.
Originally founded as Intakt Insurance and later operating as Sharin, the company rebranded to Omocom and built a fully proprietary API-first insurance platform with real-time risk assessment algorithms developed in collaboration with Swedish university researchers. After years operating as an insurance distributor, Omocom obtained a full insurance concession (license) from Sweden's Finansinspektionen in April 2025, and formally registered as a licensed property and casualty insurer (Omocom Försäkring AB) in June 2025.
By September 2024, Omocom had surpassed 1 million insurance policies brokered, covering sharing economy transactions across more than 20 European markets.
