Overview
ViewSpection is a transformative approach to loss control and underwriting, providing a collaborative platform that connects agents, policyholders, underwriters, and loss control providers throughout the insurance policy lifecycle. The company simplifies and speeds up the property inspection process with its DIY app, enabling policyholders to complete their own property inspections.
Founded by Jim Gardner, who previously ran a loss control provider doing inspections for insurance underwriters, ViewSpection was born from firsthand experience with the inefficiencies of traditional inspection processes. The original platform launched in January 2017 while ViewSpection participated in the Global Insurance Accelerator program in Des Moines, Iowa.
With traditional inspections costing around $90 and taking up to 30 days to complete, ViewSpection's self-service approach costs just $15 and allows underwriters to turn around information in as little as a day.
