Agent for the Future
Empowering independent insurance agents to embrace technology, innovation, and growth strategies for the future.
Overview
Agent for the Future is a free educational platform and resource hub created and operated by Liberty Mutual Insurance, Safeco Insurance, and State Auto Insurance to help independent insurance agents succeed in an evolving, technology-driven marketplace. Launched in 2018, the initiative provides independent agents and agency owners with actionable insights, training programs, research, and tools to adopt emerging technologies -- particularly artificial intelligence -- and implement modern business strategies.
The platform serves as both a content library and an ongoing engagement program, offering AI training bootcamps, expert advisor guidance, an AI vendor directory with 100+ vetted tools, original research on agency trends, and an annual awards program recognizing the most innovative independent agencies in North America. All resources are offered free of charge to the independent agent community.
As Liberty Mutual transitions its distribution brands -- Safeco was announced for retirement in 2026 -- Agent for the Future has become a marquee initiative for Liberty Mutual's independent agent distribution channel, supporting agents across all affiliated brands.
