American Property Casualty Insurance Association
The primary national trade association for home, auto, and business insurers -- advancing private competitive markets for the benefit of consumers and insurers.
Overview
The American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) is the property casualty insurance industry's primary national trade association, representing nearly 60% of the U.S. property casualty insurance market. APCIA was formed on January 1, 2019 through the merger of the American Insurance Association (AIA) and the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI), with roots tracing back approximately 150 years through its predecessor organizations.
APCIA represents the broadest cross-section of home, auto, and business insurers of any national property casualty trade association, with members spanning all sizes, structures, and regions. The organization promotes and protects private competitive markets for the benefit of consumers and insurers, and advocates at federal and state levels across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
With approximately 126 employees and annual revenues of approximately USD 78M, APCIA produces policy research, compliance resources, and industry data to support its member companies while hosting 10 major conferences each year and tracking approximately 5,000 legislative bills annually.
