Overview

Better Agency was founded in 2019 by Will Shaw, Jordan Hatch, and Nicholas Ayers to build a purpose-built CRM and agency management platform for independent P&C insurance agencies. Unlike generic CRM tools, Better Agency was designed from the ground up for the workflows of independent insurance agents -- handling the full customer lifecycle from prospecting and sales through service, renewals, and claims.

The company grew rapidly, achieving over USD 1M in new revenue in its first operating year (2020), and went on to raise USD 10.1M across two rounds: a USD 2.1M seed round in July 2021 led by PHX Venture Partners, followed by a USD 8M Series A in May 2022 led by Teamworthy Ventures. In April 2022, Better Agency further expanded its capabilities by acquiring Neoteric Agent, an insurance proposal software company.

In December 2024, GloveBox -- a Denver-based independent agency client servicing platform -- acquired Better Agency. The product was rebranded as GloveBoxCRM and integrated into GloveBox's broader platform suite. The CRM functionality, automation campaigns, and user credentials remain intact under the GloveBox umbrella, with GloveBoxCRM now serving as the sales and relationship management layer within GloveBox's end-to-end agency platform.
