Overview

Maprisk is a geospatial data and natural hazard analytics company that provides property risk intelligence to property and casualty insurers and managing general agents. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Portland, Maine, the company delivers multi-peril natural hazard data and property lifecycle analytics that enable underwriting automation and more accurate risk assessment across personal and commercial lines.

Acquired by Insurity in October 2021, Maprisk's geospatial analytics capabilities now operate as a core part of the Insurity cloud platform, serving more than 65 leading P&C carriers and MGAs. The platform processes over 20 million records per month with a 100% uptime SLA and sub-second response times, enabling carriers to smarter plan for and proactively respond to natural disasters.

While the standalone Maprisk Live platform was sunset on March 31, 2023, Maprisk's technology continues as an integrated component of the broader Insurity suite, combining SpatialKey and Maprisk geospatial intelligence to support underwriting from quoting through claims.
