Overview

MonarkHQ is an AI-powered employee benefits procurement and data analytics platform founded in May 2020 by David Bryant and Stephen Tran. The co-founders combined roughly 20 years of experience in insurance broker and carrier roles before building the platform to address the core inefficiency plaguing the benefits market: the slow, manual quoting process that delays deals and harms service delivery.

The platform serves four distinct groups in the benefits ecosystem -- brokers, employers, employees, and carriers -- using proprietary AI to instantly analyze employee benefits RFPs across more than 100 carriers. What once took hours of manual work now delivers actionable insights in seconds. MonarkHQ has patent-pending technology for simultaneously tracking quotes and RFPs across multiple carriers.

In August 2025, MonarkHQ secured a strategic investment from Avondale Insurtech Ventures to accelerate growth. The company has been recognized on the Insurtech Global 100 list of the most innovative insurtech companies worldwide in 2025 and graduated from the Insurtech NY Accelerator.
