Overview

UniCourt is a legal data and analytics platform that provides programmatic access to U.S. court records for law firms, insurance carriers, litigation funders, and enterprise legal teams. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Tustin, California, the company aggregates, normalizes, and structures litigation data from more than 4,000 state and federal courts across 40+ states, covering over 2 billion dockets and documents.

The platform is delivered primarily via REST API and purpose-built analytics applications, enabling clients to conduct litigation risk assessment, docket research, case tracking, attorney benchmarking, and underwriting intelligence. Court data is normalized to SALI (Standards Advancement for the Legal Industry) standards and hosted on AWS infrastructure. Integration connectors are available for major data platforms including Snowflake, Salesforce DataCloud, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.

UniCourt reached USD 10 million in annual recurring revenue in March 2025 while remaining fully bootstrapped with approximately 38 to 51 employees. The company serves AmLaw 50 law firms, Fortune 500 legal departments, and insurance carriers, and won the "Overall LegalTech Data Solution of the Year" award from the 2025 LegalTech Breakthrough Awards.
