Overview
ZipQuote powered by DMS Insurance is a digital lead generation platform designed to connect insurance agents with high-intent auto and home insurance consumers. Originally launched in 2008 as part of UE.co, a San Diego-based digital marketing company, ZipQuote became an industry-leading source of non-incentivized, internally generated insurance leads using proprietary advertising technology that verifies consumer intent-to-buy.
In November 2019, parent company UE.co was acquired by Digital Media Solutions (DMS), a performance advertising company, for USD 56.6M, creating the DMS Insurance division. Under DMS ownership, ZipQuote expanded its reach through DMS's broader financial content and traffic channels, increasing lead volume and distribution capabilities for insurance agents and agencies across the US.
ZipQuote supports more than 3,000 insurance agents and offers both self-service and managed lead purchasing options. In September 2024, parent company DMS filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection; it emerged in February 2025 following a sale of substantially all assets to a BlackRock-led investor group. ZipQuote continues to operate as part of the restructured DMS Insurance business.
