Overview

meshVI (pronounced "mesh-vee-eye") is a Charlotte, NC-based insurtech company that provides an InsurOps (Insurance Operations) platform purpose-built for the transportation insurance industry. Operating under the legal entity Transharpe Innovations, Inc., the platform simplifies vehicle and driver insurance management for motor carriers, fleets, freight brokers, shippers, and the insurance professionals who serve them, including retail agencies, wholesalers, MGAs, insurance companies, and program managers.

The company was founded by Andy Sharpe, a transportation insurance veteran who began his career in 1997. Recognizing the industry's reliance on manual processes, spreadsheets, and fragmented systems, Sharpe launched FleetVIMS (Fleet Vehicle & Insurance Management System) in March 2018. By April 2020, the platform had evolved into a full SaaS solution. In September 2023, following a private investment and strategic partnership with Kleinschmidt Inc., the company rebranded from Transharpe/FleetVIMS to meshVI, where "VI" stands for "Verified Insurance."

meshVI differentiates itself through its patented Core 4 insurance coverage logic and by being built specifically by transportation insurance professionals. The platform replaces manual processes with automated policy operations, real-time data access, and integrated tools for MVR management, equipment valuation, DOT compliance, and certificate of insurance generation.
