Founded in 2012 by Matt Ehrlichman in Seattle, the company serves carriers, insurers, home-services companies, mortgage lenders, title firms, and roofing contractors through two core business segments: Insurance Services and Software/Data.
The company differentiates through proprietary home condition data collected via approximately 30,600 home-services companies -- including home inspectors, mortgage lenders, title firms, and moving companies -- providing underwriting insights covering roughly 90% of U.S. homes. This data feeds the Home Factors platform, an AI-driven property intelligence layer offering over 100 proprietary attributes to third-party insurers. On the insurance side, Porch manages the Porch Insurance Reciprocal Exchange (PIRE), an insurance exchange approved by the Texas Department of Insurance and operating in more than 20 states. PIRE issues homeowners policies while Porch earns fee-based management revenue. The company also operates an insurance agency distributing homeowners policies through carrier partnerships.
Porch Group went public in December 2020 via a SPAC merger with PropTech Acquisition Corp. and raised USD 322M at IPO. In 2024, the company reported USD 438M in revenue and achieved its first full-year Adjusted EBITDA profitability of USD 7M. In Q1 2026, revenue reached USD 109.4M, a 29% year-over-year increase, with full-year 2026 guidance raised to USD 495M-507M in revenue and USD 103M-109M Adjusted EBITDA.
