PracticeProtection Insurance Company is a dentist-owned and directed Risk Retention Group (RRG) providing dental professional liability (malpractice) insurance to dentists and dental practices across the United States. Founded in 2017 by Mike Wallace and Eric Stetzel, the company was built from the ground up to address what its founders saw as a gap in the market: most professional liability carriers focus on physicians and do not give dentists the specialized attention they deserve.

Operating as an RRG under the Liability Risk Retention Act of 1986, PracticeProtection is authorized to write coverage in all 50 states and has rapidly expanded its geographic footprint since launch, now actively offering coverage across the majority of U.S. states. The company applies disciplined underwriting to select low-risk dental practices, which it believes creates better financial results, fewer claims, and the ability to offer lower rates and more consistent pricing than traditional carriers.
