Overview
Simply Benefits is a digital benefits management platform and Third Party Payer (TPP) serving the Canadian group benefits market exclusively through licensed benefits advisors. The platform enables advisors to quote, enroll, and administer employee health benefit plans without paper, with employers and employees accessing their own portals for plan management and claims submission.
The platform covers extended health care, prescription drugs, vision, health and life spending accounts, and travel insurance. Claims are submitted digitally through web or mobile apps and processed with approximately 48-hour reimbursement. Advisors use a dedicated portal to quote and manage client plans, while administrators handle employee enrollment through a guided digital process. The company is built on AWS with a REST API supporting carrier and healthcare provider integrations.
Founded in 2018 by Jeff Cox, Simply Benefits raised seed funding from Accelerate Okanagan and had grown to approximately 42 employees by early 2026. Insurance carrier partners include Beneva, Empire Life, and AIG, with healthcare integrations through Telus Health, Maple, and PocketPills.
